The New Year's resolution still holds...

Since the New Year's resolution in 2020 is to drink more Champagne, which in my case means a bottle a week for the rest of the year, I have to balance quality with price in order not to empty the coffers. The prices at the company range from 195.- up to 3390.- so I will definitely avoid worse and more expensive varieties, but trying "cheaper" but decent ones is among other things. a track I will follow. To balance out a good mix in the wine cellar, I have now stocked up with bottles in the price range up to NOK 400. Have looked quite carefully at the company and found thirteen goodies to put in stock. Half was on the shelf and the rest on the order range. Later in the spring, there will also be a bus trip to Champagne itself with as yet unknown friends from the Facebook group "Champagne". It will be a mess. Pretty cool!

This is how you clean your grill

After every good dinner cooked on the grill, you get to the point of cleaning. For those of us who love to cook outdoors, we must take care of our hobs in the best possible way so that they are fit for battle for the next occasion. Now, my outdoor kitchen is not advanced in any way, it's just a frying pan on a lawn. Therefore, my cleaning is super simple. It gets trickier if the stove is on nice terraces or balconies, but the principle is the same.

The next cooking video will feature a perfectly fried entrecôte with fresh side dishes. Until then, sink into the TV sofa and go to my YouTube channel and check out old great episodes. Bon appetit!

Waiting for high pressure

Only about a week left until we enter the month of March. The light has begun to return in earnest, even though Dennis has made it difficult with both high water levels and strong winds in our country. Now writing a shopping list for the weekend's cooking on the stove. It will be a really lovely dish to be washed down with noble bubbles from Champagne. May take the opportunity to cook before the next storm moves in just... Have a nice weekend!

Captain Mat airs the skis

As usual this year, Captain Mat has docked his ship in the Dolomites and in the village of Moena in Val di Fassa. The whole valley just breathes good food, nice wines and a wonderful atmosphere with good friends. The skiing is phenomenal on endless and well-groomed slopes. However, the grill was a bit noisy to take with you, but you can always sneak a good bottle of Champagne with you.
