Welcome to my recipe collection!

Here are over 200 recipes that I would like to say will fit all categories. Personally, I'm a real omnivore, but meat and home cooking are still my favourites. All recipes can of course be prepared even if you don't have a frying pan. If you are missing something or have a good tip, please send it to info@kaptenmat.se

Can I change the recipe?

Absolutely! Changing our cooking recipes is part of the creative process in the outdoor kitchen. The recipes are generally for inspiration only, they can be adapted to your personal tastes, preferences and available ingredients. Making changes and adaptations to recipes is a way to explore and create unique dishes that are just right for you.

Here are some examples of changes you can make to our recipes:

Ingredients: You can substitute or change the proportions of certain ingredients to suit your preferences or allergies.

Technician: We do not want to recommend that you opt out of the grill, all of our recipes are specially designed for cooking outside on a grill, but of course they also work indoors.

Flavors: You can add or remove spices, herbs or other seasonings to customize the taste to your own taste. Be brave and experiment to discover new combinations and flavors.

Presentation: You can also change the way you present the dish. For example, you can decorate the plate in a different way, use different serving options or try new garnishes to provide a more visual experience.

What to do if you are missing an ingredient?

If you don't have all the ingredients listed in a recipe, there are a few options to consider:

Replace the ingredient: Sometimes we make suggestions for other ingredients in the recipes. Otherwise, our advice is to try to find a suitable substitute for the missing ingredient. For example, use a similar vegetable or spice if you are missing a specific ingredient. But of course, taste and texture may vary when using substitute ingredients.

Improvise: If you can't find a direct replacement, you can improvise using what you have available. Be creative and experiment to achieve the desired result. Remember, let us know if you've found a new taste sensation or experience that you want to share with us!

Skip Ingredient: If the missing ingredient isn't critical to the texture or flavor of the recipe, you can simply skip it. Focus on the experience and joy at the grill, don't make it unnecessarily complicated, seek pleasure in your outdoor kitchen!

Remember that cooking is an art and experimenting and adapting recipes is part of the process. Don't be afraid to be creative and try new combinations to create tasty dishes even when you don't have all the ingredients on hand.

Is it difficult to cook Captain Mat's recipe?

The obvious answer is NO! But if we're being completely honest, cooking according to recipes can be challenging. That's why we do everything we can to make it clear, simple and visual with our cooking videos.

Cooking should be fun. That's why we try to keep it simple, so we don't have overly detailed recipes with many steps and different ingredients. If you're unsure, it might be a good idea to start with simpler recipes and gradually challenge yourself with more complex dishes as you get more comfortable around the grill and cooking outdoors.

A proposal that is good outdoors is all about logistics and preparation. It is smart to read through the entire recipe before you start, to prepare all the ingredients and kitchen utensils in advance. Also try to work structured and be patient.

Remember, cooking on a griddle is a skill that develops with practice. The more you cook and follow recipes, the more familiar you become with different techniques, flavors and ingredients, making it easier to improvise and adapt recipes to your own preferences.
