I min lokala affär finns Jureskogs talg som är alldeles ypperligt. Hittar du en bit fläsksvål hos slaktaren lägger du i den också. Använd arbetshandskar och undvik att andas in röken.

• Tänd upp alla brännarringarna på full effekt.
• Lägg i ett paket talg i den riktigt heta stekhällen.
• Stryk runt fettet över hela ytan med hjälp av en rostfri spackelspade med träskaft.
• Bränn på och jobba med fettet ända tills fettet förkolnas och blir till en fast massa.
• Skrapa ur det smuliga och brända fettet.
• Upprepa proceduren en gång till.
• Stäng sedan av stekhällen och låt den svalna. Häll i 1 dl rapsolja och stryk runt över hela stekytan. Torka ur med hushållspapper.
• Nu är din stekhäll färdig och klar att användas. Stekytan blir bara bättre och bättre med tiden.
